The Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) Special Education Department/SELPA is responsible for the development, implementation, and facilitation of Special Education and related services for students with disabilities.

We believe that all students can learn and that students with disabilities must be guaranteed equal opportunity to become contributing members of society. We believe in facilitating high-quality educational programs and services for students with disabilities and training for parents and educators. The PVUSD Special Education Department/SELPA collaborates with other agencies and school districts to develop and maintain healthy and enriching environments where students with disabilities and their families can thrive.
MISSION

MISSION

The PVUSD Special Education Department/SELPA is established to deliver quality special education programs and services to students with disabilities in the most effective, efficient, collaborative, and fiscally responsible manner.
VISION

VISION

Students with disabilities are general education students first. We acknowledge that they need additional time and support in their learning. Through our collaborative efforts with general education staff, students are given access to high-quality curriculum, assessments, programs, and services to support their social-emotional and educational growth in the least restrictive environment.
