Our district adopts new textbooks each year in grades K–8 in alignment with the California state textbook adoption calendar. (This calendar and related resources are available at the CDE website.
The State of California does not have a formal adoption process for textbooks at the high school level. In PVUSD, the high schools (Aptos, Pajaro Valley, Renaissance and Watsonville) generally follow the K–8 adoption calendar, ordering new subject-area books during the same year that elementary and middle schools order them.
