Indigenous Peoples' Day
Indigenous Peoples' Day is celebrated on the second Monday of October in the United States, in lieu of Columbus Day. Indigenous Peoples' Day reaffirms that indigenous peoples are original, diverse societies with their own identities and culture that are an integral part of the Americas. PVUSD recognizes Indigenous Peoples' Day and strongly supports the proposition that Indigenous Peoples' Day shall be an opportunity to celebrate the thriving cultures and values of the Indigenous Peoples in our region and throughout North America, including Mexico.
