Dear PVUSD Community,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! Thank you to our students, families, staff, and community partners for your dedication and support.
This summer:
- Thousands of students participated in expanded learning programs.
- Measure M facilities upgrades began, and the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee was formed.
- PV Advance and Early College enrollment launched successfully.
- PV Elevate exceeded its goal with 130 students enrolled and a waiting list.
- Partnerships grew to enhance student wellness, family engagement, and academic success.
As we look toward the start of this school year, our Career Technical Education (CTE) programs will continue to provide exciting opportunities in fields like agriculture, health sciences, and information technology, with a first-of-its-kind pathway focused on the aviation industry. And we continue to make strong progress on long-term strategic planning, all working collaboratively to ensure our district remains fiscally sound and focused on student outcomes.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on what matters most: delivering high-quality instruction, expanding access to academic and extracurricular opportunities, and fostering a culture of belonging and excellence to advance student outcomes with our signature instructional practices, “Teacher Intent and Teacher Clarity”.
Together, we’re committed to providing every student with opportunities to learn, thrive, and succeed!
With gratitude and excitement,
Dr. Heather Contreras
Superintendent, PVUSD
