Health & Safety

Health and safety has been, and continues to be our #1 priority in PVUSD. We follow California Department of Public Health (CDHP) guidance to ensure our students, families, and staff stay healthy and safe.

The CDHP and CalOSHA guidance includes the following:

CDPH and CalOSHA Guidance:
For indoor locations, employers are required to evaluate how to maximize ventilation with outdoor air; the highest level of filtration efficiency compatible with the existing ventilation system; and whether the use of portable or mounted High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration units, or other air cleaning systems, would reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

For indoor spaces, ventilation should be optimized, which can be done by following CDPH Guidance on Ventilation of Indoor Environments and Ventilation and Filtration to Reduce Long-Range Airborne Transmission of COVID-19 and Other Respiratory Infections: Considerations for Reopened Schools.
