SBAC Digital Library - What is it?

The Digital Library is a critical component of the Smarter Balanced system of assessments and will include a variety of resources to help teachers support day-to-day teaching and learning. The Digital Library offers professional learning resources and instructional materials—like lesson plans, units, and learning modules—for educators to use daily with students and staff.  The Digital Library is paid for by California’s subscription to the Smarter Balanced Assessment System, so access to the Digital Library is completely free for every school district and their employees. 

 

How do I set up my Digital Library account?

All PVUSD teachers were registered with the Smarter Balanced Digital Library in early December, 2015.  Teachers will have received an email from Smarter-DoNotReply@smarterbalanced.org​ containing directions on setting up the SBAC account to access the Library.  Users MUST first receive, and then follow the steps in the email to finalize account setup.

How do I use the Digital Library?

Click on a resource listed below to read about it, then download for immediate and future use. Once you are registered to access the Digital Library, you will have the ability to view and download hundreds of resources at all grade levels - you are not limited to any of the materials.
