September is Attendance Awareness Month and we are kicking it off with our new  slogan for 2026-27: Show up! Believe it! Achieve it! Huge shout out to our high school students who submitted ideas for the new slogan. Be on the lookout for lawn signs throughout our community to reinforce this message and remind our students that when they show up they can achieve so much! 

We will continue with our monthly All In for Attendance days to inspire some healthy competition with our schools. Let’s see which schools will achieve the highest attendance percentage for the day. Our first All In for Attendance day will be September 14th. Score Big with Attendance: wear a soccer jersey from a Hispanic or Latin American country.

Join us for a tour of our updated PVUSD facilities thanks to Measure M. The schools that we will be touring will be Rio Del Mar Elementary, Aptos High, PV High, Landmark Elementary, Pajaro Middle, Watsonville High and Lakeview Middle. 

Meet Natalie Allen the 2026-27 PVUSD Board of Education Student Trustee. Natalie is a proud Aptos Mariner who participated in the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council last school year. The role of the student trustee is to uplift student voice across the district ensuring that the perspectives and needs of students are heard at the decision making level. Congratulations, Natalie!
