Edward A. Hall was born in England in 1866 and came to the Pajaro Valley in 1893. He was elected in 1902 to serve on the Board of Town Trustees. Mr. Hall served on the elementary school board from 1906-1930 and on the high school board from the time it was formed in 1919 until 1936. Mr. Hall retired from the Board of Trustees in 1937, after serving thirty-one years. In order to honor Mr. Hall, a Watsonville real estate man, the Board of Trustees named the school Edward A. Hall School which was established as an elementary school in 1938. Today, the school is known as E.A. Hall Middle School operating with students in grades six through eight.
