The Lesson Study process focuses on one lesson, moving through an iterative cycle of improvement.  A lesson in written, field tested, reworked, field tested a second time, then reworked once more.  The end result is a high quality lesson that is both kid-tested and teacher-approved.

Lesson Study is not a process for California Math & Science Grant cohort members only.  Every professional learning community and data team can use the Lesson Study cycle to provide definitive evidence for effective instructional components.

Meet your California Math & Science Partnership coaches!

Hi!  My name is Denise Henry and I am thrilled to be a part of CaMSP!.  I've  worked in a wide variety of academic settings - from residential treatment centers to academic units at the university level - for over 15 years.  In this time, I've developed the perspective that all students will experience academic success given the appropriate supports.  I look forward to being a part of the grant project and supporting teachers as they develop innovative mathematics instruction for their students. 

Hello!  I have been teaching math at PVUSD for 13 years.  During this time I have been a mentor teacher, department chair, and a participant in the Math and Fiction Book Club.  As math coach, I am pleased to be involved with all the teachers and staff of CaMSP!
