 Aptos High School is pleased to announce that seniors Julia Baba and Nora Brackbill have been honored as national Merit Semifinalists. More than 1.5 million juniors in over 21,000 high schools entered in the 2009 National Merit Program. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, which represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. Julia and Nora have moved forward in a selection process based on their skills, accomplishments and potential for success in rigorous college studies. We wish them luck as they continue in the process towards the possibility of becoming a Finalist.
