Planning a Response to the Grand Jury Report
|
The PVUSD has received the Grand Jury report and welcomes the opportunity to provide a thorough response. The report covers a ten-year period, three administrations and 17 trustees, as well as staff no longer employed with the District.
In order to adequately respond to the findings and investigate allegations of wrongdoing, it will be necessary for the District to pull some staff away from normal duties. It will also require additional legal fees at a time when the District is attempting to lower these expenses. This unfortunately will mean using money from the General Fund, money earmarked for students.
Despite these costs, the District looks forward to providing an accurate and detailed response to each of the findings. During this time, the focus of the District will remain on students and student achievement.
