Message From the Superintendent
Dr. Mary Anne Mays
California is once again facing a fiscal crisis. In order to resolve the crisis, the State will review both revenue sources and areas for budget reductions. The K-12 public schools in California are currently under-funded. The percentage of State dollars allocated to K-12 public education place California well below average. K-12 public education funding in California cannot afford to fall even farther behind the other states.
Please do your part to support our schools by committing to write at least ten (10) letters to local and other State legislators. We have included the names of the legislators for your convenience. You also will find some draft language for letters if you prefer to just personalize one or more of these and send them off.
Thank you for your help as we seek to save our schools from dire reductions.
Dr. Mary Anne Mays, Superintendent
