The Pajaro Valley Unified School District is a California Department of Justice-approved
Live Scan Fingerprinting resource.
Fingerprinting is available only for PVUSD employees, substitutes and volunteers.
Following are the steps needed to process a volunteer.
- Volunteer completes this form: Volunteer Form or Forma para Voluntarios (Español)
- Send completed forms:

- Or bring the form to Human Resources in person
Volunteer form MUST be authorized and signed by a site administrator.
When volunteer comes to Human Resources to be fingerprinted they must bring an acceptable form(s) of photo ID
(see below) and TB clearance. HR will not fingerprint volunteers without proper identification and TB clearance.
Volunteer may not begin service until they have been cleared by Human Resources.
Acceptable primary forms of photo identification include the following:
Valid California Driver license

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- I have been fingerprinted before with a different agency/employer. My prints are in the system. Can you use those fingerprint results?
No. The Department of Justice requires each applicant be re-fingerprinted with every new application for employment. For your privacy protection, personal background information cannot be shared between agencies.
- When can I get my result?
Processing times vary. A response from the Department of Justice can take just a few hours, to days and sometimes months.Please call approximately 7 days from the day you were fingerprinted to get your results.
- Is there a fee?
Live Scan fingerprinting services is free to PVUSD employees, substitutes and volunteers.
