Mrs. de la Pena technology focus is to provide students with many opportunities to practice basic skills at thier individual level, create independently, and create cooperately. In conjunction with the Apple TV, students present math problems they create and share stories they have written. In addition to utilizing creation apps, she uses the iPad to differentiate instruction and provide extra practice for struggling students while allowing GATE students to be challenged. Also, using Note Shelf, students will create electronic journals for each subject. The white board app allows whole class participation rather than only one student working on the aboard. But most important of all, she wants to use the Smart Board to enhance instruction with virtual trips outside the classroom, allowing students an opportunity to see the world outside our community.
