Students in Transition - Healthy Start
Students In Transition (SIT) provides services above and beyond those given through school site services. SIT works with homeless students, foster youth and families intransition. For qualifying students SIT provides the following services: student and family enrollment or renewal for Medi-Cal, Healthy Kids, and Healthy Families insurance; dental, medical, counseling appointments; assistance with school supplies, public assistance applications; and referrals for emergency food, shelter search and clothing. All students are referred and encouraged to participate in the After School Program.
