Welcome to the Secondary Education Division of the Pàjaro Valley Unified School District!

It's all about student learning at our middle schools and high schools! Our communities are blessed with three comprehensive high schools, four middle schools and one junior high school. It is our goal to both lead and support our secondary schools to ensure that our students are fully prepared for the rigors and joys of college, career and life. In spite of very difficult budgets, our district has improved our focus on learning and is committed to every student’s academic, social and career development. Our dynamic teaching staff in our secondary schools continues to develop and improve the delivery of the curriculum better meeting the needs of our students in 2011-12, our future workforce.

The Secondary Education Division encourages active partnerships between schools and community groups, businesses and welcomes the opportunity to build and foster the relationships that both enhance student learning and raises the public's awareness about the inner workings of our secondary schools.

Our staff in the district office and at our school sites is here to serve. As the Assistant Superintendent in Charge of Secondary Education, I am excited to see each of our schools up close and offer my ideas and experiences. Our district's goals are our focus and will ensure continued academic growth at all of our schools.

"The Great Depression"

This video, "The Great Depression", was created by 3 WHS students during the summer school program.  It is an excellent example of student work and the application of Common Core approaches.
