Watsonville, CA (March 22, 2017) - Pajaro Valley Unified School District is continuing to take action to keep PVUSD students safe when they use online resources such as G Suite for Education from Google. PVUSD will use Gaggle Safety Management for G Suite to further promote student and educator productivity in a safe and controlled environment.
Gaggle Safety Management for G Suite combines technology with expert student safety representatives, who review flagged content 24/7 to assure students are safe. The service identifies inappropriate words, phrases and images in Google Drive, Google Docs and more. Flagged content is then reviewed by the student safety representatives who review the questionable and suspicious content. Representatives then apply consistent district-approved policies for positive intervention, alerting school officials if there is an imminent threat to a student.
Gaggle Safety Management for G Suite helps districts comply with all U.S. privacy and safety laws, particularly those involving children. These include the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
