The Watsonville Charter School of the Arts is a public charter school for students in grades K-7. The school began in the fall of 2001 and serves about 200 students from all over the Pajaro Valley.
We believe in high academic achievement for all students and we use the arts: dance, drama, music, and visual arts to enhance and deepen all subject areas. We also teach the arts as worthy subjects of study in and of themselves. We have weekly music and visual arts classes. Our teachers are experts and bringing the love of learning to their students. Our school is a small, safe, strong community.
We serve a diverse population and celebrate the many cultures that comprise the Pajaro Valley. We promote and instill in our students academic excellence, creativity, and empathy for others. Our 2003 API score was 733. We have surpassed our state and national goals for learning since our inception in September of 2001. We offer a high quality after school program.
