Friendly Letter

Demonstration

Drawings

Skit, Play, Script, News Cast, Radio Script

Character Report Card

Students create a fictitious report for one of the characters in one of the stories. The report card should include assessments of personal characteristics that relate to the topics or themes of the story.                         X          

PowerPoint* Slideshow

Students create a PowerPoint* slideshow that relates to the characters, events, topics or themese of one or more of the stories.                         X          

*  PowerPoint (Mac & Windows) is part of the Microsft Office suite of productivity applications. Other similar “slideshow” or “presentation” software applications that can be used for this activity include Open Office (Windows), Keynote (which is part of Apple’s iWork, Mac only), Apple’s older AppleWorks (Mac & Windows), and a few others.
