Performance Goal 2.1: All teachers in the target group participating in professional development on education technology will increase their use of technology as a tool to support student academic achievement.

Schedule for Data Collection

Performance Benchmark 2.1 to be achieved by 6/29/07: Teachers in the target group in year one who participate in professional development on education technology will increase their use of technology as a tool to support student academic achievement from a baseline of 8% to 35% by 6/30/07.

The EdTechProfile Assesment  will be used for the baseline, post-year one and post-year two comparison.

Baseline data has been collected. Teachers will complete the EdTechProfile Assessment at the end of year one and year two.

Performance Benchmark 2.1 to be achieved by 6/30/08: Teachers in the target group in year two who participate in professional development on education technology will increase their use of technology as a tool to support student academic achievement from a baseline of 35% to 45% by 6/30/08.

Classroom Observations Scale

will be used to collect data (COS; Waxman & Padron, 2004)  The COS is specifically designed to provide independent data on how teachers are working with their students in various learning environments.

Classroom observations will be conducted by the evaluator a minimum of 9 times per academic year.  Observations will take place on a schedule of once per month.
